Historic Downtown Walking Tour

What did that building on Main Street in Brighton used to be “back in the day”?

What about those rumors of underground tunnels?

The Brighton Legacy Foundation has a fun way to find out about our historic downtown. Join us for an Historic Downtown Walking Tour on Sept 5, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

The tour begin at 5:00 with appetizers at Creative U (43 North Main). Promptly at 6:00 pm guides will begin the informational tours of Joonbugz, Milagros Soap, Jordinelli’s, Brighton Photography, and Main Street Creatives (have you ever seen the jail cell?). As you visit each of the buildings, you will find out about its past.

The tour ends at The Armory for coffee, tea, and cupcakes with the opportunity to meet local authors Albin Wagner and Dan Blegen as they talk about their books on local history. Books will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $25 per person or $40 a couple, available for purchase at the Brighton Chamber’s office, at our booth at Market Days on August 23, or by contacting Joan Kniss at (303) 659-2196 or by email.

This will be a fun evening of local history and great food!
